Maisy Mouse is based on the picture book series created by British author & illustrator Lucy Cousins. The animated children's TV series is a hand drawn 2D creation by King Rollo Films & originally produced by Polygram Television and later by Universal Television while remaining faithful to the two-dimensional flat look of the books and debuted on Nick Jr in 1999. The show is targeted toward preschool aged children and introduces basic concepts such as colors, numbers, sorting, and matching in a playful manner.

The characters use a series of animated moans, yaps, yelps, grunts, and baby speak which the narrator (voiced by Neil Morrissey, the voice of Bob the Builder) conveniently understands for us. Trivia: Maisy's theme song is a reggae melody performed by Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers while the Umbilical brothers (aka Aussies Shane & David of the Upside Down Show) do the character vocalizations. Maisy lives in a yellow house with a red roof and her birthday is February 10th. She also has hands and feet instead of paws! Feel free to look around a bit.
